The MC Medical Crisis Response Task Force has developed guidelines to ensure that our students and faculty remain healthy and that our campus reopens in August as planned. Face masks or face coverings are required to be worn by all individuals (faculty, staff, students, and visitors) in all buildings on the MC campus.
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
I am very sorry to announce that the MC commencement ceremonies scheduled for the main campus on August 1, 2020, will not take place. The reception scheduled for July 31 has also been cancelled.
Everyone at MC shares your disappointment in this news. With the number of COVID-19 cases rising in our state and restrictions on the number of people allowed to gather still in place, we made this difficult decision to prioritize the safety and health of our community. Our decision is also in keeping with advice and restrictions issued by Governor Tate Reeves, the CDC, and state agencies.
Please know that MC is still committed to celebrating you as a 2020 graduate. We are already re-evaluating alternative ways and dates to honor you and welcome you back to campus.

Please continue to check your MC email regularly for updates about an alternative event in the coming weeks. Again, we thank you for your patience and your flexibility during this time.
